Homebirth

Midwifery care includes prenatal visits to prepare for your homebirth, care and monitoring during active labor, birth and the first hours postpartum and regular postpartum visits for you and your baby. Throughout your pregnancy and up to six weeks postpartum we meet to assess your health and your baby's well being. All of our visits are individualized and last an hour, allowing ample time to discuss questions and help you make fully informed decisions. Midwifery care provides time to discuss options, make preparations and build trust.

Birth Tub Rental

The advantages of laboring and giving birth in water include:

Birth tub rental includes drop-off and pick-up.

Appointments

Visits usually take place in our office near Lake Merritt in Oakland. The visit one month before you are due and the first two weeks of postpartum visits take place in your home. If you prefer, all visits can take place in your home by special arrangement.
